Melanie has been drawing and writing since she could hold a pencil. As a child, she created short graphic novels, greeting cards, and silly drawings for her friends and family.

As an artist today she is interested in figurative art, graphite and charcoal drawing techniques, animation, printmaking, and learning how to paint. She is committed to continuing her education by taking courses and being active in the Proko community as a community critiquer. She helps her sister-in-law, Katina, with her wedding business and provides bespoke live wedding artist experiences.

She spends her free time in nature: fishing, hiking, camping, and exploring. When she's not outside, she's enjoying family game nights. She currently lives and rents a studio in Ashland, VA.
